RICE-CFA-761m-April2016.xlsx This data file presents preliminary Roosevelt Island CFA chemistry data Column A: depth (m) Column B: H+ concentration 450nm (microMoles per Litre) Column C: H+ concentration 586nm (microMoles per Litre) Column D: Conductivity (microSiemen/cm) Column E: Insoluble dust particle count (#/mL) Column F: Calcium concentration (nanogram/gram) Data from 40 m to 500 m was collected during the 2013 CFA season Data from 500 m to 761 m was collected during the 2014 CFA season Note that this data is preliminary and processing has not been completed. Please do not distribute or (attempt to) publish Insoluble dust particle counts (Column E) is contaminated by drill fluid and is unreliable below 129 m depth "H+ concentrations are primarily used to identify volcanic eruptions. 586nm is the most reliable wavelength for such measurements, while 450nm is included here only for quality control. " H+ and dust are not included below 500m due to the poor quality of the data Calcium and Conductivity are very similar due to the high content of marine salts in RICE snow Depth is based on logger files from Sylvia and may require fine tuning within each 1m bag section For further information contact: Paul Vallelonga vallelonga@nbi.ku.dk Helle Kj¾r hellek@fys.ku.dk Marius Simonsen mariussimonsen@gmail.com
