NZ Ice Core Research Facility

Picture
The New Zealand National Ice Core Research Facility is located at GNS Science in Gracefield, Lower Hutt, New Zealand. This is a world-class facility for storing, cutting, processing and measuring ice cores. All 764 m of ice collected at Roosevelt Island are currently stored at the Ice Core Research Facility.  The ice cores collected at Roosevelt Island were processed (cut & analysed for different chemical & physical parameters ) in two separate campaigns in 2013 & 2014. You can learn more about RICE core processing and measurements here.

This facility is currently curated and coordinated by Rebecca Pyne.
